Hawilux at a glance :
The history of Hawilux goes back to 1960 which was established with the goal of growing as a market leader of paints and resins in Iran and neighboring countries .
Today Hawilux employs more than 160 people, working in three divisions of liquid paints and coatings, powder coatings, and Alkyd resins

Liquid paints & coatings :
The annual production capacity of this plant is estimated over 14.000 tons per shift . The products of this plant are classified as follows :
Decorative & Architectural paints
Industrial paints and coatings:
- Air-drying paints
- Stoving enamels
- Protective coatings

Liquid paints / coatings plant has its own R&D and QC laboratories.

Powder Coatings :
Powder coating manufacturing division is technically supported by a license agreement with “Hyundae Paint Industries” of South Korea. The capacity of this section is 4,500 tons/shift per year,  
A unique well-equipped QC lab. controls the quality of powder coating products according to the international standards.

Hawilux powder coating systems are as following :

- Epoxy – Polyester hybrid systems

- Polyurethane systems

Alkyd Resins :
The alkyd resin plant has a production capacity of 5,000 tons per year.

The range of resin products are as following :  
- Long oil alkyd resins
- Medium oil alkyd resins
- Short oil alkyd resins
- Modified alkyd resins
The alkyd resins plant has independent R&D and QC laboratories, as well as an on-line process control lab.

R&D and QC :
Hawilux is dedicated to quality and continuous development of its products. Therefore, appointing well-educated and experienced personnel, training, as well as equipping the R&D and QC laboratories, is an important part of the company’s policy.

Quality Management System :
 Hawilux has established its quality management system according to ISO 9000 standard series and registered by QMI of Canada in 1999 .

Human resources :
Hawilux employs more than 160 people that 25% of them are university graduates, and 35% are high school graduates. Emphasizing on R&D and QC, more than 10% of the personnel are working in these departments .
Marketing and sales activities are carried out by special teams, composed of sales and technical experts.

Product mix:
In 2003, the largest share in Hawilux production mix  belonged to decorative paints with 40%  by weight, followed by powder coatings with 23%, alkyd resins with 20%, and industrial paints / coatings with 17% of total production.
